What are BCAAs?

Branched chain amino acids are essential nutrients found in protein. There are nine essential amino acids that the body cannot produce by itself; they need to be consumed through food and supplementation. Of those nine, the three amino acids that make up BCAAs, play a critical role in
muscular development because they are metabolized in the muscle, not the liver. Because of this they can be used as energy or for production of new proteins (new muscle). In addition to muscle growth, BCAA’s also protect the body from catabolism (burning muscle). Build contains a potent BCAA blend as well as additional L-Leucine, considered to be the most important of the three amino acids.
