Tips For Controlling Your Halloween Cravings

There are two types of cravings: physiological & psychological.
A physiological craving is a physical need that’s controlled by your blood sugar levels. The way you solve it is make sure you’re eating every 3 hours, so you don’t succumb to the physiological cravings. A psychological craving is the emotional want, so we have to create some solutions for that.

  • Instead of eating a bunch of candy corn, just have 1 or 2 pieces.
  • Add Stevia (a natural sweetener) to Greek yogurt or some oatmeal.
  • Freeze a chocolate protein bar for a great chocolate dessert.

Once a week, eat whatever you want.
Eat your pumpkin pie, your bread, your candy—just go for it. Have one off-plan meal. We call it, “cheating to conquer your cravings”. But then the rest of the week, make these healthy substitutions so you still get that fulfillment without the extra fat and calories.
